Our Beneficiaries
S. Sekar:
With a history of diabetes for over 9 years, this 54 year old fish vendor was able to earn well and support his family until the dreadful Tsunami took away his livelihood. His business being very badly hit, made him very depressed and he failed to take his medications regularly. His kidneys got affected and he was put on dialysis in a hospital where he could not afford the cost. He came to TANKER, and with regular dialysis at an affordable cost, and 3 free dialysis, his health is improving. He is now able to earn Rs 3,000 per month. His son also helps him.
Mrs. K. Latha
is 41 years old and is working as a cook in a private residence. She is married to Kannan, 57 years old, who has no current occupation. She has one son and 3 daughters. Her son is 25 and he collects cell phone bills, earning Rs.2000 a month. Her first daughter is 26 and she does data entry for Rs.1200 a month. Her last two daughters are both studying in school. She has been suffering from Kidney failure for over 2 years. Tanker helped her to get her first fistula done, but as it did not work TANKER helped a with a second fistula. She is now undergoing dialysis in our unit. TANKER’s ‘sponsor a dialysis’ scheme helps her with 3 free dialysis every month.
Mr.Balaji
