Fund Raising & Donation
Many of our donors and enablers have experience with kidney disease and wish to help reduce and prevent the disease in some manner. TANKER is one of the few foundations in India that creates awareness and caters to the needs of underprivileged patients with kidney diseases. Many have also helped after hearing about or seeing the difference that TANKER has made in the lives of their beneficiaries.
Apart from this, TANKER holds one main fundraising event annually, called the Republic Eve TANKER Charity Nite. This event has taken place every year from the year of inception. Many local celebrities who support our cause attend the event and donations are made directly. One of the highlights of the event is the music or dance programme that is usually performed by a survivor of kidney disease or any other major ailment.
Our Goodwill Ambassador Actor Suriya also serves as a catalyst for garnering donations. He has also set a worthy example with a Rs. 10 lakh donation towards the Madurai Dialysis Unit.

| Rs. 2,50,000/- | sponsor a Dialysis A Day (DAD project) for a whole year. |
| Rs. 3,000/- | sponsor one set of investigation costs or one free fistula surgery. |
| Rs. 4,000/- | sponsor one awareness programme. |
| Rs. 8000/- | sponsor one month's supply of post transplant medication for a patient. |
| Rs.10,000/- | our corpus fund will sponsor one free dialysis for a patient every year, under the "Sponsor a Dialysis for Perpetuity" scheme. |
| Rs. 2,00,000/- | sponsor the subsidized transplantation cost for one patient. |
| Rs. 43,00,000/- | set up a subsidised dialysis unit in a rent free premises. |
- TANKER is a registered non-profit charitable trust and all contributions are exempt under section 80-G of the Income Tax Act 1961.
- Foreign Contributions are also welcome under FCRA 1976, Registration No.075900765.
- We also have exemption under section 35 AC of the Income Tax Act, 1961. This is to raise a corpus fund so that we can reduce the cost of dialysis further and give one time contributions.
