Dr. M. Balamurugan was at hand to guide the TANKER Awareness and Prevention Program (TAPP) team of TANKER Foundation in conducting a screening camp at Kosakulam, Madurai.

The camp was held Thursday, April 27, 2023, at St. Mark Church.

The TAPP team was represented by Mr. G. Samuel and Mr. V. Alagumalai who were ably assisted by four nursing students from TVS Community College, who acted as volunteers.

In all, 28 members of the public were screened at the camp where their BMI and blood pressure were checked and their capillary blood sugar and urine, tested.

The team found that blood sugar, BMI and protein urea were a little high in some participants. A few new diabetic cases were also detected. Such people were referred to government and private hospitals for further tests.
