A screening camp was conducted by the TANKER Awareness and Prevention Program (TAPP) team of TANKER Foundation at T. Nagar, in Chennai, Saturday, June 10, 2023.

Dr Sharmila guided the TAPP team consisting of Mrs. Ramapriya and Mrs. Deepa, who were joined by an intern from Christ University.

The team was also ably assisted by volunteers, Mr Parthiban and Mrs. Khazhaga Selvi.

In all, 30 members of the general public were tested at the camp that was held at the Subrabatha Sabha on Baroda Street, in T. Nagar.

The TAPP team checked the BMI and blood pressure of the participants and also tested their capillary blood glucose and urine.

The team found that BMI was a little high for some people.

The TAPP team members also detected some new diabetes and hypertension cases. Such participants were referred to private hospitals.
