Forty members of the general public were screened at a screening camp conducted by the TANKER Awareness and Prevention Program (TAPP) team of TANKER Foundation at Pattinapakkam, Chennai, Saturday, July 22, 2023.

Dr. Sharmila was at hand to guide the TAPP team, consisting of Mrs. Ramapriya and Mrs. Deepa. They were ably supported by two volunteers.

The camp that was held at the Fisherman Community Hall in Pattinapakkam, saw the participation of the general public. Their BMI and blood pressure were checked and their capillary blood glucose and urine, tested.

The TAPP team found that BMI was a little high for some people.

The team also detected some new diabetes and hypertension cases. These people were referred to primary health centres for follow-up.
