A screening camp was conducted by the TANKER Awareness and Prevention Program (TAPP) team of TANKER Foundation at ICF Colony in Athipet, March 30, 2023.

Dr Sharmila was at hand to guide the Chennai TAPP team of Mrs. Ramapriya and Mrs. Deepa. They were ably supported by Aruvi Foundation which was provided the venue for the camp.

In all, 56 members of the general public were screened at the camp. The BMI and blood pressure of the participants were checked and their capillary blood glucose and urine tested.

The TAPP team found that the number of female participants was comparatively high. They also detected some new diabetes and hypertension cases. These people were referred to Athipet primary health centre.
