A screening camp was conducted by the TANKER Awareness and Prevention Program (TAPP) team under the auspices of the Chief Minister’s Comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme at Ambur, in Vellore district.

The camp was held at the Government High School, Sathgar, in Ambur, Saturday, June 24, 2023.

TAPP Head, Mrs. Rajalakshmi Ravi, TAPP team members, Mrs. Ramapriya and Mrs Deepa, and unit Manager, Mr. Samuvel, were joined by volunteer, Ms. Kothainayagi.

Ten paramedical students also ably helped them as volunteers as 627 members of the general public were screened at the camp.

The BMI and blood pressure of the participants were checked and their capillary blood glucose and urine tested.

The TAPP team found that some people were unaware that they had high blood sugar / blood pressure.
