Under the guidance of Dr. Harish Raj, the TANKER Awareness and Prevention Program (TAPP) team of TANKER Foundation screened 66 members of the public at Ayanavaram, Chennai, Saturday, May 25, 2024.

The TAPP team included Mrs. Ramapriya and Mrs. Deepa. They were ably assisted by Mr. Parthiban and Ms. Nandhini.

The screening camp was organised by Malar Trust and was conducted at the WPA Soundarapandian Nadar Primary School.

The participants were checked for BMI and blood pressure and had their capillary blood glucose and urine tested.

The TAPP team found that some people were overweight and had high blood pressure. Unfortunately, some more were not taking medicine regularly.

The team identified some new cases of high blood pressure and diabetes. The members also found that some participants had protein and glucose in their urine. These people were referred to primary health centres.

Dr. Harish Raj also gave dietary advice to all the participants.
