There is so much that one can write about Jit, the nine-year-old, who has been published at this young age.
Jitspeed has written a book ‘Legend of Icarus – Flight of Destiny – Unveiling the Mythical Odyssey’. That is a mouthful of tough words for even a grown-up. But Jit has been able to dip into Greek mythology, and give it a clever, modern spin for his story. So, the young author needs to be celebrated for his literary prowess.
Jit, son of TANKER Foundation Advisory Member, Ms. Vidhya Arumugam, has dedicated the book to his late father’s memory. That shows the youngster’s love for his father. A great accomplishment from a single mom!
Jit showed his excellent upbringing in a more precious way also. His book flew off the shelves and was sold online also. Armed with the proceeds from the sale of his book, Jit trekked up to the TANKER Foundation admin office in T. Nagar, Chennai, Wednesday, November 8, 2023, and handed over the cheque as donation to Head Admin, Mrs. Vasanthi Ravichander.
Touched to the core by the young boy’s generous gesture – instead of angling for a new shoe, splurging on a new phone or gadget – Jit gave the money to help the kidney patients being cared for by TANKER Foundation.
A big heart in a young body! Mrs. Vasanthi Ravichander accepted the donation gratefully and honoured the young donor with the TANKER memento, which is a personalised, special, ceramic mug.
All the office staff joined together to wish him a great life as it was also his birthday.
The TANKER family members have no words to express their thanks for his philanthropy at such a young age.
