We take great pride in calling our staff manning our dialysis units as ‘Angels on Earth’. On Sunday, October 3, 2021, the world came to know of their good work.

The Tamizhnadu Vaazh Anaithu Makkal Nala Iyakkam and Tamizh Marai Arakattalai came together to celebrate the work of various people during the pandemic by giving them certificates of appreciation under the Medical Ratna Awards 2021. Each one of them was honoured as a ‘Covid Warrior’.

The Valluvarkottam dialysis unit staff were selected by the NGOs for their selfless service during the Corona pandemic.

Unit Manager, Mrs. R. Amirtharani, was given the honour of lighting the traditional lamp, representing TANKER Foundation, along with celebrities from other walks of life like the police and media. She was also privileged to offer floral tributes to the huge photos of Mahatma Gandhi and late President of India Abdul Kalam set up near the stage.

All the 12 staff members of the Valluvarkottam dialysis unit individually received the plaque that praised their work during the Covid-19 outbreak.
