An awareness programme was conducted by the TANKER Awareness and Prevention Program (TAPP) team of TANKER Foundation at Thiruvadhavur, Madurai, Monday, February 5, 2024.

The programme that was held in two sessions at the Government Higher Secondary School in Thiruvadhavur, was conducted by Madurai Co-ordinator, Mr. V. Alagumalai.

In all, 153 students and five teachers participated in the programme.

School headmistress, Mrs. Kayalvizhi, inaugurated the session, while Mr Alagumalai gave an awareness talk about kidney disease.

The students actively participated in the question and answer session and raised many questions about diabetes, hypertension and formation of kidney stones. Mr. Alagumalai deftly handled the questions and cleared all their doubts.
