An awareness programme was organised by the TANKER Awareness and Prevention Program (TAPP) team of TANKER Foundation at S.B.O.A. Matriculation Higher Secondary School, at Anna Nagar, Chennai

The programme, held on Saturday, August 5, 2023, saw the participation of 400 boy students and 10 teachers.

This was the first session in the school and the second session was held for girl students.

TAPP Head, Mrs. Rajalakshmi Ravi, held the students’ interest by explaining kidney health in a simple manner.

The students were very receptive and inquisitive, says Mrs. Rajalakshmi Ravi. She was able to clarify their doubts like can kidney stones cause loss of kidney function.

The TAPP team included Mrs. Ramapriya and Mrs. Deepa, and a volunteer.

The programme was initiated by TANKER Foundation patient’s son, Mr. Ravi, who works in the school.

The programme was coordinated by the school’s students counsellor, Mrs. Sarika.

Assistant Headmistress, Ms. Nalini, was present throughout the boys’ session.
