Three hundred girl students and seven teachers participated in the second session of the awareness programme conducted at S.B.O.A. Matriculation Higher Secondary School at Anna Nagar, Chennai, by the TANKER Awareness and Prevention Program (TAPP) team of TANKER Foundation.

The programme that was held Saturday, August 5, 2023, was conducted by TAPP team member Mrs. Ramapriya.
The TAPP team consisted of Head, Mrs. Rajalakshmi Ravi, and Mrs. Deepa. They were ably assisted by a volunteer.

A note from the TAPP team says the students were very receptive and inquisitive. They asked very pertinent questions One of the students even asked why the old kidney was not removed in a transplant surgery.

Mrs. Rajalakshmi Ravi responded to the questions and answered them in a very simple manner for the students to understand.

The programme was initiated by TANKER Foundation patient’s son, Mr. Ravi, who works in the school. It was coordinated by the school’s students counsellor, Mrs. Sarika. Hindi teacher, Mrs. Revathy, was in charge of the girls’ programme.
