There was active participation by teachers and non-teaching staff of a school with the Chennai TANKER Awareness and Prevention Program (TAPP) team of TANKER Foundation during an awareness programme.
The kidney health awareness programme was held at the school, VGN Chinmaya Vidyalaya, in Avadi, Thursday, November 3, 2022.
In all, 60 teaching and non-teaching staff participated in the programme.
The TAPP team consisted of TAPP Head, Mrs. Rajalakshmi Ravi, Mrs. Ramapriya and Mrs. Deepa.
Mrs. Rajalakshmi Ravi provided the introductory talk, while Mrs. Ramapriya gave an awareness talk about kidney disease.
The TAPP Head conducted a Q & A session and clarified all the doubts of the participants.
The team was ably supported by Ms. Rohini, a TANKER intern from D.G. Vaishnav College, Arumbakkam, Chennai.
The Principal, Ms. Latha Ganesan, and staff were very happy with the awareness programme.
It also came to light that the father of one of the staff members of the school was undergoing dialysis at the Padi unit of TANKER Foundation.
