Focusing on prevention of chronic kidney disease (CKD), a CME programme, Kidney Health for All, is being organised at The Westin Chennai Velachery, Sunday, November 26, 2023.
TANKER Foundation, MOHAN Foundation, Kidney Warriors Foundation and Nephroplus are joining hands in this to work towards controlling the growth of the disease, as, according to WHO, among non-communicable diseases, CKD will be the 5th cause of death by 2040.
On November 26, the CME for doctors from different specialties, such as cardiology, diabetology, ophthalmology, gynaecology and general physicians is being conducted with a panel moderated by nephrologists to address the growing disease, early detection and intervention through timely investigations.
The participating doctors are TANKER Foundation Founder-Trustee, Dr. Georgi Abraham, Dr. Edwin Fernando, Dr. Gopalakrishnan, Dr. Sunil Shroff, Dr. Muruganathan, Dr. Selvavinayagam and Dr. P.V. Sivaraman.
Tamil Nadu Health Secretary, Mr. Gangandeep Singh Bedi, will inaugurate the CME at 10 am.
The unique programme is expected to show any gaps in the treatment and investigation at each level of speciality and bring about a solution for the medical fraternity and government to evaluate.
