A new haemodialysis machine was inaugurated by Mr. M. Anantha Krishnan at The Pachaiyammal Shanmugam Rota Fort TANKER Foundation Dialysis Unit, Sathuvachari, Vellore – 632009, Monday, November 25, 2024.
Mr. Anantha Krishnan had donated the machine, costing Rs. 7,49,500, in memory of his wonderful parents, Mr. Madhavan and Mrs. Kothai.
Mr. Anantha Krishnan appreciated the work TANKER Foundation was doing for the needy suffering from kidney failure.
He had handed over the cheque for the amount October 30, 2024, to the staff of the Vellore dialysis unit and the inauguration of the machine took place in November. Mr. Anantha Krishnan had come with his entire family to make the donation in October.
Speaking during the inauguration event in Vellore, TANKER Foundation Managing Trustee, Mrs. Latha A. Kumaraswami, said the Vellore dialysis unit is supported by the Rotary Club of Vellore Fort, the CMCHIS and many other valuable donors.
She specifically thanked Mrs. and Mr. Anantha Krishnan for their generous donation which will help the underprivileged patients of Vellore.
The couple was honoured with the TANKER mementoes for their wonderful gesture.
The members of the Rotary Club of Vellore Fort attended the inauguration and gave away gifts and refreshments to the donor and the TANKER family members.
Club President P.R. Vikram Kumar, Chairman, Mr. Sridar Balaraman, Secretary, Mr. Selwyn Ratnarajan, Mr. Vijayakumar, Treasurer, Mr. V.S. Kumaran, and others were present at the inauguration.
Local newspapers gave wide coverage to the inauguration of the dialysis machine.
