The Valluvarkottam dialysis unit of TANKER Foundation came in for a valuable donation that would help patients undergoing dialysis have better quality of life.
Mr. T. Hariharan, Founder and Managing Trustee of ‘The Radiance Charitable Trust’, handed over 25 numbers of Renocel 4000IU injection for use by TANKER dialysis patients visiting the Valluvarkottam facility. The donation was received Monday, August 23, 2021, by Ms. Amirtharani, Manager of the unit.
About Renocel 4000IU: The injection is a medicine used in the treatment of anaemia in patients undergoing dialysis due to chronic kidney disease. The man-made protein helps the bone marrow produce more red blood cells. The injection is an ‘erythorpoiesis-stimulating agent’ that makes the soft tissue inside bones produce more red blood cells and help carry oxygen around the body.
The injection is given either under the skin or into a vein by a doctor or nurse after a dialysis treatment.
