A moving letter was addressed to the Managing Trustee of TANKER Foundation, Mrs. Latha A. Kumaraswami, by the husband of one of the patients who used the Thiruverkadu dialysis unit.
Mr. P. Narasimhan, whose wife, Mrs. N. Lakshmi, had been undergoing free dialysis for nearly seven years at the Thiruverkadu unit, had written the letter, dated Tuesday, March 26, 2024.
In the letter, he felt satisfaction at the treatment, and that he had no reason to complain about the hundred per cent service rendered by the technicians.
Mr. Narasimhan says in the letter, written in Tamil and typed neatly, that he thanks with folded hands, the senior technician, the male and female technicians and the housekeeping ‘amma’ for their service.
He said he was conveying his gratitude on his own behalf and that of his family to the Thiruverkadu unit and all the technicians of the unit.
The letter was gratefully received by the unit’s manager, Ms. Menaka.
Unfortunately, TANKER Foundation also has to place on record that the dialysis patient, his wife, Mrs. Lakshmi, passed away recently.
But the letter written by her husband, Mr. Narasimhan, will be cherished forever by TANKER Foundation.
When he visited the TANKER admin office at Mahalingapuram, Chennai, at a later date, Mr. Narasimhan was honoured by TANKER Advisor, Mr. Venkatesh, with the TANKER memento, which is a personalized, special, ceramic mug. It contains the images of the trustees, TANKER Goodwill Ambassador and some patient-beneficiaries.
