What better way to spread awareness on kidney health and hold screening camps than by involving the patients who use TANKER Foundation’s dialysis facility?
They would be the ideal partners of the TANKER Awareness and Prevention Program (TAPP).
So, the TAPP team has decided to rope in patients through its latest initiative, ‘Prevention Through Patient’.
TAPP Head, Mrs. Rajalakshmi Ravi, explains that they have decided to conduct awareness programmes and screening camps at the residential localities of our dialysis patients.
Our patient, Ms. Uma, is the champion of this programme. She has been requesting TAPP to conduct a screening camp in her house at Oragadam and it was conducted Wednesday, April 26, 2023. Her neighbours and friends benefited from the camp.
Ms. Uma was honoured by Mrs. Rajalakshmi Ravi and her team consisting of Mrs. Ramapriya and Mrs. Deepa, along with unit managers, Mr. Guhanathan and Mr. Giridharan, for spearheading the programme.
Launching the initiative at the Ambattur dialysis unit Friday, May 5, 2023, Mrs. Rajalakshmi Ravi and her team explained the nitty-gritty to the patients using the facility.
Request through notices have also been distributed to all the patients.
We look forward to their whole-hearted support, says the TAPP Head.
