Dr. Sharmila was at hand to guide the TANKER Awareness and Prevention Program (TAPP) team of TANKER Foundation when it conducted a screening camp for members of the general public at Mogappair, Saturday, June 3, 2023.

The TAPP team, which included Mrs. Ramapriya and Mrs. Deepa, was ably assisted by volunteers, Mr. Parthiban and Mrs. Khazhaga Selvi.

The screening camp was held at the Councillor’s office in Mogappair East where 45 members of the general public participated.

The BMI and blood pressure of the participants were checked and their capillary blood glucose and urine tested.

Some new diabetes and hypertension cases were detected by the TAPP team. Such people were referred to the Mogappair primary health centre.
