In all, 50 staff members, parents and members of the general public were screened at a camp conducted by the TANKER Awareness and Prevention Program (TAPP) team of TANKER Foundation at Jafferkhanpet, Chennai.
The screening camp was conducted Saturday, February 11, 2023, at the Manimegalai Nursery and Primary School.
Dr. Sharmila helped the TAPP team, represented by Mrs. Ramapriya and Mrs. Deepa. They were ably assisted by a volunteer.
It was heartening to note that the number of female participants was comparatively high, and that most of the participants maintained good health.
Their BMI and blood pressure were checked and they had their capillary blood glucose and urine tested.
