On Saturday, October 14, 2023, the TANKER Awareness and Prevention Program (TAPP) team of TANKER Foundation conducted a screening camp at the CMDA Truck Terminal Complex Welfare Association at Madhavaram, Chennai.

Dr. Harrish Raj was at hand to guide the TAPP team of Mrs. Ramapriya and Mrs. Deepa.

They were ably assisted by Ms. Azhageswari and Ms. Swetha, interns from University of Madras, Chennai.

In all, 40 truck drivers had their BMI, and BP checked and their capillary blood glucose and urine tested.

Quite sadly, most of the people were found to have diabetes and high blood pressure.

Such people were referred to primary health centres and private hospitals.
