The Chennai team of TANKER Awareness and Prevention Program (TAPP) of TANKER Foundation conducted a screening camp Wednesday, November 9, 2022.
The camp was held at the Children’s Welfare Hall of Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board at Tondiarpet.
In all, 28 members were screened at the camp where BMI, blood pressure, random blood sugar (RBS) and urine tests / check-ups were conducted.
Dr Nikitha was at hand to guide the TAPP team that consisted of Mrs. Ramapriya and Mrs. Deepa.
They were ably assisted by Ms. Rohini, an intern from D.G. Vaishnav College, Arumbakkam.
The TAPP team found most people have high BMI and RBS. It also detected some new diabetic and hypertension cases.
These people were referred to the local PHCs.
