The TANKER Awareness and Prevention Program (TAPP) team of TANKER Foundation held a screening camp for 25 senior citizens at the Panigraha Marriage Hall in West Mambalam of Chennai, Thursday, August 29, 2024.

Led by Dr. Sharmila, the TAPP team consisted of Mrs. Ramapriya and Mrs. Deepa.

They were supported by volunteer, Mrs. Bhuvana, and intern, Ms. Ammucharumathi of Soka Ikeda Arts and Science College, Madhanan Kuppam.
Most of the participants were already being treated for diabetes.

The newly identified cases of high blood pressure and diabetes were referred to the nearby primary health centres.

Dr. Sharmila also gave dietary advice to all the participants.
