A screening camp was conducted by the TANKER Awareness and Prevention Program (TAPP) team of TANKER Foundation Wednesday, February 1, 2023.
The camp was held for the teaching and non-teaching staff of CTTE College for Women, Perambur, Chennai.
Dr. Nikitha was at hand to guide the TAPP team that included TAPP Head, Mrs. Rajalakshmi Ravi, and Mrs. Deepa.
The BMI and blood pressure was checked for 53 participants and their capillary blood glucose and urine was tested.
The TAPP team found that the BMI of most of the people was a little high.
“We were glad to note that very few of them were identified with high glucose and elevated blood pressure,” says Mrs. Rajalakshmi Ravi.
So, appropriate counselling was given to them, she adds.
TANKER Foundation interns, Mrs. Kurasia Fathima and Mr. Venkatesh, helped the TAPP team in conducting the camp.
