The TANKER Awareness and Prevention Program (TAPP) team of TANKER Foundation conducted a screening camp at Korukkupet, Chennai, Sunday, February 4, 2024.

The TAPP team, consisting of Mrs. Ramapriya and Mrs. Deepa, was led by Dr.Harris Raj.

The team was ably assisted by interns, Mr. Dilip from Madras School of Social Work,and Ms. Madhuvanthi of D.G. Vaishnav College, Arumbakkam, Chennai.

The camp that was held at Bhagyam Chellaiah Matriculation Higher Secondary School, saw the participation of 56 members of the general public.

The participants had their BMI and blood pressure checked and their capillary blood glucose and urine tested.

The TAPP team found that some people had diabetes and high blood pressure. Some people had protein and glucose in their urine.

While the doctor gave dietary advice, some of the people were also referred to nearby government hospital and private hospitals for further tests and treatment.
