A screening camp was conducted by the TANKER Awareness and Prevention Program (TAPP) team of TANKER Foundation in Madurai, Tuesday, March 28, 2023.

The camp was held at Subhiksha Clinic in Poigaikaraipatti, Madurai, for members of the public.

The TAPP team of Madurai Co-ordinator, Mr. V. Alagumalai, and Mr. G. Samuel, was guided by Dr. P. Sivakumar.

The BMI of the participants and their blood pressure were checked while their capillary blood glucose and urine were tested.

The TAPP team found that the BMI value was high for the participants. Some new diabetes and high blood pressure cases were also detected. Such people were referred to Kallanthiri urban public health centre.

All the participants were advised to switch to healthy foods and drink more water.
