The TANKER Awareness and Prevention Program (TAPP) team of TANKER Foundation conducted a screening camp for the staff of Presidency Club, Egmore, Chennai, from which the staff greatly benefited.

Remarks: The screening camp identified cases of high blood pressure and elevated blood sugar, both critical markers for conditions like hypertension, diabetes and kidney disease. For individuals at high risk, based on their blood pressure and blood glucose levels, a creatinine test was conducted to evaluate kidney function, and six such cases were identified.

Participants with abnormal results were referred to the nearest primary health centres for follow-up care.

Dr. Sharmila conducted an engaging session on nutrition, offering practical advice on maintaining a healthy lifestyle and preventing chronic illnesses.
