The TANKER Awareness and Prevention Program (TAPP) team of TANKER Foundation in Chennai held a screening camp for kidney health for NGO Thaangum Vizhuthugal at Chetpet.
The camp that was held Sunday, December 18, 2022, at the Corporation School, Sathyamoorthy Salai, Chetpet, saw the participation of 36 members of the public.
Dr. Nikita guided the TAPP team of Mrs. Ramapriya and Mrs. Deepa, to check the BMI, and blood pressure and carry out the capillary blood glucose and urine tests.
They were ably assisted by volunteer, Mrs. Anitha, and three paramedical volunteers from Thaangum Vizhuthugal.
Most people screened at the camp were found to have urine protein and urine glucose. Such people were referred to the Primary Health Centre, Chetpet.
