Rotary Club of Tirupur North presented the Service to the Humanity Award to TANKER Foundation Managing Trustee, Mrs. Latha A. Kumaraswami, Sunday, December 17, 2023.

After receiving the award in a glittering function got up in Tirupur for the various awardees, Mrs. Latha Kumaraswami said she was dedicating the award to the TANKER family. She said she was grateful for the award that she said was for TANKER and not just for her.

She recalled how TANKER Foundation was started 30 years ago in a small way with the involvement of nephrologist, Dr Georgi Abraham.

It is a team effort that has won the award, she said, and dedicated the award to also the trustees, donors, patients and staff, whom she calls Angels on Earth.

She said it was important for her to represent TANKER at the awards function and said she was humbled by Rotary Club of Tirupur North presenting her the award.
