Indian Society of Organ Transplantation (ISOT), of which TANKER Foundation Founder-President, Dr. Georgi Abraham, is the President, held its 33rd annual conference from Thursday, October 5, to Sunday, October 8, 2023, in Kolkata, West Bengal.
TANKER Foundation was represented at the conference by TANKER Foundation Managing-Trustee, Mrs. Latha A. Kumaraswami, Head Admin, Mrs. Vasanthi Ravichander, and Advisory Member, Mrs. Sudha Lakshmi Rao.
Mrs. Latha Kumaraswami honoured Dr. Kamal Shah of Nephroplus on the conference stage.
TANKER Foundation had also set up a stall jointly with IFKF-WKA at the venue, ITC Royal Bengal, and received visitors.
Mrs. Latha Kumaraswami warmly received Mr. Vivek Gupta of La Renon Group, one of the generous enablers over the years of TANKER Foundation. He was presented the TANKER brochure.
Another notable visitor was Mrs. Pallavi Kumar, who was TANKER Foundation’s former Project Coordinator.
She is now Head MOHAN Foundation in New Delhi. Mrs. Latha Kumaraswami presented the TANKER memento – a personalised, special, ceramic mug – to her, in the presence of Mrs. Vasanthi Ravichander and Mrs. Sudha Lakshmi Rao.
Ms. Shallini Rai Singhal and Ms. Priyanka Budhiraja of MediArt Life Sciences TANKER Foundation enablers, visited the joint IFKF-WKA and TANKER stall at the conference.
Dr. Saravanan of Abirami Kidney Care, Erode, who came to the stall, was honoured with the TANKER memento.
Mr. Yogesh Puri of Steadfast MediShield, who had been enabler and supporter of TANKER Foundation for many years, dropped by at the stall.
Another enabler who visited the stall was Dr Radhika Patil.
Talking about the conference, a note on the website of ISOT 2023 said, “We are working hard to disseminate and exchange knowledge and to promote scientific research in various aspects of transplantation.”
