TANKER screening camp at Thiruverkadu unit

The TANKER Awareness and Prevention Program (TAPP) of TANKER Foundation conducted a screening camp at the RMCW TANKER dialysis unit in Thiruverkadu.

It was held Tuesday, November 22, 2022, when Dr. Sharmila guided the Chennai TAPP team of Mrs. Ramapriya and Mrs. Deepa.

A total of 24 people were screened at the unit for BMI, blood pressure and tested for capillary blood glucose (CBG). Urine was tested for protein and glucose.

The team found that most people had high BMI and CBG and were referred to the PHC in Thiruverkadu.

Some new diabetes and hypertension cases were also detected.
