Dr. Ezhilan said the government was very supportive and appreciative of TANKER Foundation’s services. Kidney failure was on the increase and more dialysis centres were required. More awareness and screening were necessary, he said, and added that the government was making all efforts to reduce the burden of kidney disease.
Mr. Sivaramakrishnan said he deeply appreciated the work TANKER Foundation was doing. Five Star would continue to support TANKER Foundation in its endeavours to help the needy with kidney disease.
The Valluvarkottam dialysis unit is supported by Greater Chennai Corporation, Rotary Club of Madras East, the Chief Minister’s Comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme (CMCHIS) and many valuable donors.
TANKER Foundation Managing Trustee, Mrs. Latha A. Kumaraswami conveyed TANKER’s heartfelt gratitude to Five Star Business Finance Limited, Greater Chennai Corporation, the Corporation Diagnostic Centre, Valluvarkottam, Rotary Clubs and other valuable donors for their consistent and generous support.
She said the lifespan of a haemodialysis machine was typically seven years, after which the machine must be replaced depending on utilisation and operating hours. She highlighted the importance of timely replacement to ensure the continued delivery of quality care to patients.
The generous contribution of Five Star Business Finance Limited will significantly benefit underprivileged TANKER patients, said Mrs. Latha Kumaraswami.
