During the screening camp conducted by the TANKER Awareness and Prevention Program (TAPP) team of TANKER Foundation at Vembedu village, Tiruvallur district, Saturday, October 4, 2025, 15 participants were found to be in the high-risk category and were referred to the nearest PHC for follow-up. Dr. Prakash Shankar guided the TAPP team of Mrs. Ramapriya, Mr. Hemeshwaran and Mrs. Bhuvana.

Remarks: The results of the screening camp at Vembedu village revealed that 16 individuals had elevated blood sugar levels, including nine newly-diagnosed cases.
Additionally, 12 participants were found to have high blood pressure, and four showed the presence of glucose in urine.
Based on the overall findings, 15 high-risk individuals were referred to the nearest primary health centre (PHC) for further evaluation and follow-up.
Dr. Prakash Shankar provided dietary advice to the participants, along with guidance on maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
