Two new haemodialysis machines were inaugurated at the Corporation Urban Primary Health Centre, RCCT and TANKER Foundation Dialysis Unit, at Retteri, Friday, March 17, 2023.
The two machines were donated by SBI General Insurance Company through GIVE India and were inaugurated by Mr. G. Ravishankar, Regional Underwriting Manager.
The invitees appreciated the service being rendered by TANKER Foundation.
TANKER Foundation Managing-Trustee, Mrs. Latha Kumaraswami, gave an update of TANKER activities and said almost 5.5 lakhs dialysis had been done so far for over 2,500 patients.
At present 800 patients were benefitting through TANKER’s 14 dialysis units. Almost 2 lakh people have been reached out to through the awareness programmes and 38,000 people had been screened for kidney disease.
She was grateful to the TANKER Angels on Earth (TANKER’s dedicated staff), CMCHIS, Greater Chennai Corporation, Rotary, Freemasons, corporates, individual donors and the media for their support over the years.
TANKER Foundation Head Admin, Mrs. Vasanthi Ravichander, Assistant General Manager, Mrs. S. Geetha, Mrs. Rajalakshmi Ravi and Senior Manager, Ambattur Dialysis Unit, Mr. Guganathan, participated in the function.
