In the second awareness programme organised by Mr. Gopinath, Manager, Equitas Small Finance Bank, Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at Thiruvanmiyur, Chennai, was handled by the TANKER Awareness and Prevention Program (TAPP) team of TAKER Foundation. Mrs. Ramapriya and Mrs. Bhuvana of the TAPP team created awareness among the participating self-help group women members.

The session began with an introductory talk by Mrs. Ramapriya, who explained the mission and activities of TANKER Foundation, giving the participants a clear understanding of the organisation’s role in promoting kidney health.
This was followed by an informative presentation by Mrs. Bhuvana, who spoke on the causes, symptoms and prevention of kidney disease.
She highlighted that poorly-controlled diabetes and high blood pressure were the leading causes of kidney problems and stressed the importance of regular health check-ups, early diagnosis and proper medical management.
She also encouraged the women to adopt a healthy lifestyle, maintain a balanced diet, and stay hydrated to prevent kidney-related diseases.
The awareness programme conducted earlier on November 6, 2025, for SHG women had created a strong impact.
Due to their positive response and keen interest in gaining more knowledge, this awareness session was organised on November 12, which once again received active participation and appreciation from the women.
