Date: 5.12.2024
Place: Valasaravakkam, Chennai
Venue: Radiance Majestic construction site, Valasaravakkam
Number of participants: 103 construction workers and staff members
Tests done: BMI, blood pressure, capillary blood glucose and urine test
Doctor: Dr. Sharmila
TAPP team: Mrs. Rajalakshmi Ravi (Head TAPP)
Mrs. Ramapriya

Remarks: The TAPP team screened 103 people, most of them are from the northern states. As they spoke only Hindi, the team had arranged for a Hindi-speaking doctor, who explained everything in detail to each one of them. Though a large number of them did not have blood pressure or diabetes, none of them had done any test before.
Some workers had abnormalities. They were asked to see a local primary health centre doctor. The CEO of the company, Mr. Ravichandran showed great interest in the workers welfare. He wanted the TAPP team to give an audio-visual presentation on kidney disease to the workers. He said he would make them assemble in a particular hall.
The TAPP team was happy to be part of the programme where highly-disadvantaged people benefitted and got some awareness about good health.
Mr. Murugan, their supervisor, made arrangements for the camp.
