Awareness on kidney health was created among members of a women self-help group at Jawahar Park, Besant Nagar, Chennai, by the TANKER Awareness and Prevention Program (TAPP) team of TANKER Foundation, Thursday, November 6, 2025. Mrs. Ramapriya and Mrs. Bhuvana represented the TAPP team at the programme.

Remarks: The programme was organised by Mr. Gopinath, Manager, Equitas Small Finance Bank.
Mrs. Ramapriya began the session with an introductory talk about TANKER Foundation. This was followed by a presentation by Mrs. Bhuvana, who spoke on kidney disease.
She explained that poorly controlled diabetes and high blood pressure were the leading causes of kidney problems and stressed the importance of regular health check-ups and proper management of these conditions.
Mrs. Bhuvana also highlighted the need for a healthy lifestyle and a balanced diet to prevent kidney-related diseases.
Mrs. Bharathi, who delivered a vote of thanks, thanked TAPP Head, Mrs. Rajalakshmi Ravi, for arranging such a meaningful programme for the women.
