In all, 41 conservancy staff of Mogappair West, Chennai, benefited from the screening camp conducted by the TANKER Awareness and Prevention Program (TAPP) team of TANKER Foundation at the conservancy staff office, Sunday, March 8, 2026. Dr. Aashish guided the TAPP team of Mr. Guganathan, Mrs. Deepa and Mrs. Bhuvana. Intern, Ms. Kavya from University of Madras, chipped in usefully.

Remarks: At the screening camp conducted for conservancy staff, the results showed that 15 individuals had elevated blood sugar and 15 had high blood pressure. Among them, nine participants were newly diagnosed with diabetes, and 11 with high blood pressure.
Additionally, 10 participants showed abnormalities in the urine test.
Based on the screening outcomes, 14 high-risk individuals were referred to the nearest primary health centre (PHC) for further medical evaluation and follow-up.
The camp facilitated early detection of health issues and helped raise awareness about the importance of regular health check-up and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
