The new dialysis machine at the Rekha Memorial Renny Abraham Ambattur Rotary TANKER Foundation Dialysis Centre was inaugurated by Ms. Shilpa Bidathanapalli, Vice-President HR, Client Network Services India Pvt Ltd, Saturday, June 18, 2022.
The machine was donated by Client Network Services.
The guests of honour were Ms. Reshma Iqbal, Ms. Tania Vanderveen and Mr. Robin Kurianjacob.
TANKER Foundation Founder-Trustee, Dr. Georgi Abraham, welcomed the donors and said the generous contribution would help more patients in and around the Ambattur area.
He also stressed that awareness and early detection were very important to fight kidney disease and requested CNSI to support TANKER’s endeavour to reach out to more people.
TANKER Foundation Managing-Trustee, Mrs. Latha Kumaraswami, gave an update about TANKER, saying that it had done 4.9 lakh dialyses so far and given over Rs. 3.58 crore for medication and investigations for the needy.
She also said TANKER had created awareness among over 1.8 lakh people and screened over 35,000 people for early detection of kidney disease and that the staff of TANKER were Angels on Earth who worked continuously during the pandemic with dedication and commitment.
Ms. Shilpa Bidathanapalli greatly appreciated the work TANKER was doing and said they would help further with software support and awareness.
TANKER Foundation Advisory Member, Mr. K.V. Balachandar spoke at the function, while Advisory Member, Mrs. Sudha Lakshmi Rao, sang the prayer song.
TANKER Foundation Head Admin, Mrs. Vasanthi Ravichander, proposed the vote of thanks.
