The Rekha Memorial Renny Abraham Ambattur Rotary TANKER dialysis unit is supported by the Ambattur Rotary Club and Hospital, CMCHIS and many valuable donors. Adding to the donor list is Kotak Mahindra Life Insurance Company Ltd, which has donated 1 dialysis machine and 3 defibrillators.

The machine was inaugurated Saturday, February 17, 2024, by Mr. Clement Williams, Senior Vice President – FIG, and Mr. Pawan Soni, Chief Manager – CSR.

Mr. Williams said he had first-hand experience with kidney disease and was very appreciative of the TANKER team work.

Mr. Soni said they were happy to be associated with TANKER and hoped to do more. This generous donation will benefit all the underprivileged patients using the unit.

TANKER Foundation Managing Trustee, Mrs. Latha A. Kumaraswami, said every donation was precious and conveyed TANKER’s grateful thanks to Kotak Mahindra Life Insurance Company Ltd, the CMCHIS, Greater Chennai Corporation, Ambattur Rotary Club and Hospital and other valuable donors for their regular support.

TANKER has done almost 643,056 lakh dialysis and is now helping 885 patients. Awareness programmes have been done for almost 2 lakh people and screening camps conducted for 41,252 people for early detection of kidney disease.

TANKER’s staff are the Angels on Earth who are totally selfless and dedicated in helping the needy, said Mrs. Latha Kumaraswami, praising the service rendered by the staff.
