On July 1, 2022, National Doctors Day, the Times of India newspaper took out a two-page advertisement by MSN Laboratories, a leading pharmaceutical company, to honour doctors who had worked through the Corona pandemic.
Saying that the doctors worked during the pandemic facing more risks than most people, the company saluted the Covid Braves on Doctors Day and said ‘Happy Doctors Day’.
TANKER Foundation’s Founder-Trustee, Dr. Georgi Abraham, was one of the doctors selected for the honour. As a nephrologist, he worked tirelessly and was in the frontline during the pandemic.
In his message, Dr. Georgi Abraham remembered his colleagues: ‘I salute all my doctors colleagues who worked tirelessly to save lives during the COVID-19 pandemic. Though we lost many people in the community, I am grateful to the individuals who are alive for implicit faith in us.’
