The glittering 30th TANKER Foundation Annual Charity and Awards Nite, celebrated Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at Hotel Savera, R K Salai, Chennai, saw the presence of a couple of IPS officers.

The function saw the participation of Tamil Nadu DGP, Dr. Sylendra Babu, IPS, and former DGP, Dr. Jayanth Murali, IPS, who are valued as enablers by TANKER Foundation.

Tamil Nadu DGP, Dr. Sylendra Babu, was honoured with a citation for participating and completing the 100 kms cycling rally to raise funds for the BP machine project for Tamil Nadu police personnel that is an ongoing project of TANKER Foundation.

The citation was read out by TANKER Foundation Head Admin, Mrs. Vasanthi Ravichander, and recorded his service to the NGO.

Calling it a great honour bestowed upon him, Dr. Sylendra Babu said TANKER Foundation was doing a great job and extended all help for it.

Former DGP, Dr. Jayanth Murali, IPS, was also presented a citation for running four full marathons and participating and completing the cycling rally to raise funds for the BP machine project, and for a dialysis machine.

Speaking on the occasion, he said TANKER Foundation was doing a wonderful job. He pointed out that the number of people needing transplants and donors do not match and, so, appreciated the work being done by TANKER Foundation.
