Thirty high-risk cases were detected at the screening camp conducted at the Uzhavar Sandhai (farmers shandy) at Thirumangalam, Madurai, by the TANKER Awareness and Prevention Program (TAPP) team of TANKER Foundation, Thursday, August 14, 2025. Dr. Ramanathan led the TAPP team that consisted of Mr. Venkatesan and three volunteers.

During the screening, 30 individuals were found to have high random blood sugar levels, of whom 14 were newly-diagnosed with diabetes.

Additionally, six individuals were identified with elevated blood pressure.

A total of 30 high-risk cases were referred to the Primary Health Centre for further evaluation.
The TAPP team members also provided valuable dietary advice to the participants.
