The Daasya Trust organised a kidney screening camp with the support of TANKER Awareness and Prevention Program (TAPP) team of TANKER Foundation at the Office of Inspector of Fisheries, Ennore, Chennai, Friday, July 18, 2025. Dr. Mahadevan Balaji guided the TAPP team of Mr. Hemeshwaran and Mrs. Deepa and volunteers Mrs. Akila and Mrs. Bhuvna.

Remarks: On July 18, 2025, Daasya Trust organised a kidney screening camp at Ennore. A total of 40 members from the general public actively participated in the screening.
The screening helped identify 19 individuals with elevated blood sugar levels (including nine newly-detected cases) and 21 individuals with high blood pressure.
A total of 14 high-risk individuals were referred to the nearest primary health centre for further evaluation and management.
Dr. Mahadevan Balaji offered detailed insights on preventive kidney care, dietary modifications and lifestyle changes, emphasising the role of early detection in managing kidney-related issues.
