A screening camp was organised at the J2 Mini Hall in Chromepet, Chennai, on the initiative of Kamadhenu Trust, and conducted by the TANKER Awareness and Prevention Program (TAPP) team of TANKER Foundation, Tuesday, December 16, 2025. Dr. Gokul Kailash guided the TAPP team of TAPP Head, Mrs. Rajalakshmi Ravi, Mrs. Ramapriya, Mrs. Deepa and Mrs. Bhuvana, and interns, Mr. Aswath and Ms. Kavya.

Remarks: The screening camp was organised by Kamadhenu Trust.
It was found that 11 cases were newly-detected among the 25 individuals who had elevated blood sugar levels.
In all, 23 participants were found to have high blood pressure, including 15 newly-identified cases.
While seven participants showed the presence of glucose in urine, two showed presence of protein in urine, indicating possible high blood sugar and kidney-related complications.
Based on these findings, four high-risk individuals were referred to the nearest primary health centre (PHC) for further evaluation and follow-up care.
TAPP Head, Mrs. Rajalakshmi Ravi, provided guidance to the participants on kidney health, diabetes and hypertension, highlighting preventive measures and the importance of early detection.
