The TANKER Awareness and Prevention Program (TAPP) team of TANKER Foundation, conducted an awareness programme for senior citizens of Kalaiselvi Karunalaya Social Welfare Society, Ambattur Industrial Estate, Chennai, Saturday, August 9, 2025. Nursing assistant Mrs. Deepa delivered a speech on kidney health.

Remarks: The awareness programme at Kalaiselvi Karunalaya Social Welfare Society saw the participation of around 30 senior citizens.

The session was handled by Mrs. Deepa, who emphasised the importance of maintaining kidney health through healthy dietary practices.

She highlighted the need to reduce excess sugar and salt intake in daily food habits to prevent lifestyle-related diseases and safeguard kidney function.

The programme created awareness among the participants on adopting simple lifestyle modifications for better health and well-being.
