It was a day of nostalgia for TANKER Foundation Co-Founder and Managing Trustee, Mrs. Latha A. Kumaraswami, as she visited her alma mater, Stella Maris College, Chennai, on being invited for the inauguration of the 20th year of the Postgraduate Department and World PR Day celebrations, Wednesday, July 16, 2025.

Mrs. Latha Kumaraswami, an alumna of the department, had a chance to meet up with her Professor, Dr. Sundari Krishnamurthy. She recalled receiving the ‘Best PR Practices’ award from her Professor a few years ago.

Dr. Sundari Krishnamurthy, the Founder and Former Head, Department of Public Relations, Former Head, Department of Sociology and Director SMCNC, was felicitated with the PR Luminary Award for her lifetime contribution to education by the college.

Her book, ‘Facets of Communication’, was also released on the occasion.

Mrs. Latha Kumaraswami honoured her Professor with the TANKER memento, which is a personalised, special, ceramic mug, containing the images of the TANKER trustees, the Goodwill Ambassador and some patient-beneficiaries.
