TANKER Foundation’s Founder Trustee, Dr. Georgi Abraham, received the Karl D. Nolph Lifetime Achievement Award on Friday, February 27, 2026, at the 46th Annual Dialysis Conference in Kansas City, Missouri.
Dr. Georgi Abraham, a world-renowned nephrologist, has been honoured with the prestigious Karl D. Nolph Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the field of nephrology.
Dr. Georgi Abraham also pioneered Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis (CAPD) in India. He was instrumental in introducing and establishing CAPD in the country during the early 1990s, making life-saving dialysis treatment more accessible and affordable for patients suffering from kidney failure.
His tireless dedication to advancing renal care, patient advocacy and innovation in dialysis has significantly transformed kidney treatment practices in India.
