A screening camp by the TANKER Awareness and Prevention Program (TAPP) team of TANKER Foundation was organised by a Madurai unit dialysis unit patient, Mr. Selvam, under the Prevention Through Patient Programme of TAPP, at Kumaram Panchayat (Union) Primary School in Madurai, Thursday, December 25, 2025. Dr. Akshaya guided the TAPP team.

Remarks: The screening camp was organised by Mr. Selvam a patient of the Madurai dialysis unit, under the Prevention Through Patient Programme of TANKER Awareness and Prevention Program (TAPP) of TANKER Foundation.
The camp spotted nine individuals with elevated blood sugar levels. Among them, six were newly-detected cases.
In all, 12 participants were found to have high blood pressure and of them, four were newly-identified cases.
While six participants showed the presence of glucose, one participant showed the presence of protein, indicating possible kidney-related complications.
Based on the screening findings, six high-risk individuals were referred to the nearest primary health centre (PHC) for further evaluation and follow-up.
